Let's discuss some facts - National averages don't always apply. Let's break down Jan 1-Jun 30, 2025, compared to 2026, and see how we stack up against the rest of the country.

The National Association of REALTORS (NAR) reported a 2.4% national increase in sold listings. In comparison, the Huntington market surged by 4.94% - more than doubling the national pace - demonstrating great buyer absorption.

NAR reports national appreciation between 1.5% and 1.8%. Local sold prices outperformed the country nearly fourfold, reaching a staggering 7.87% increase.

While national sales inventory saw minimal growth (+1.3%), intense regional demand and competitive pricing compressed local supply, driving new listings down 12.79% from last year.

National list prices have flattened. Local list prices saw a modest 1.15% rise, reflecting realistic pricing strategies from local sellers.

*All stats are pulled from the Huntington Board of REALTORS Multiple Listing Service. Properties listed in the Residential Class listed or sold between Jan 1 - Jun 30, 2025, and Jan 1 - Jun 30, 2026.

To look into the near future of the real estate industry on a local, state, and national level in an effort to prepare our local board to be proactive in taking advantage of new trends.
